By Road

York has excellent motorway links to all regions of the UK. Situated midway between Edinburgh and London, just 20 minutes from the M1/M62 motorway network, York is within comfortable travelling times of most regions in the UK.

By Train

York by train couldn’t be easier. Excellent rail links bring you from London, Edinburgh and Manchester in around two hours.

By Coach

National Express offer an efficient, good value service to York, from most major UK destinations.

By Air

York is in easy travelling distance of four international airports - Leeds/Bradford, Newcastle, Humberside and Manchester.

York Racecourse

York Racecourse is just outside the city of York with good motorway links on the M1 and A1. Once near the city, from the south, east and west the A64 and A1036 are the roads to follow. From the north, use the A19 and A59, then the York Ring Road to avoid the city centre.
